Keep Up With My Latest Work

Slip was a two channel dance video instillation exploring the physicalization of the word slip. It was originally projected side by side in 90 degree angel of a room corner. These two relational videos now take on a different duet within the new frame of this website. It is a new way to slip.

This interactive instillation researches the root and endless associations we have with the word, image, and physicalization with the body. I projected a video of me dancing against a google search of the word body, layered with its many given verbal definitions. The viewer is placed in front of the projected video, inherently making their body the new stage for this continous research.

This instillation performance art piece created a distorted "fifth hand reflection" through filming my body and projecting it onto a mirror that reflected it back onto me and was once again reflected in the mirror which the viewer was looking into. It focused on body dysmorphia, the stomach, and ways of self objectification as well as exploring ways to become embodied and loving mirrors for one another.
